Hopkins & Carley is pleased to announce that Andrew Ditlevsen has been promoted to shareholder. Ditlevsen will co-lead the firm’s Manufactured Housing Communities team alongside veteran practitioner Paul T. Jensen, of counsel, who joined the firm last summer.

Ditlevsen has nearly a decade of successes counseling clients in what he describes as the “three core pillars” of his practice: real estate litigation, creditor’s rights, and manufactured housing law. As a leader of the firm’s Manufactured Housing Communities Team, he advises owners and managers of mobile home parks, manufactured housing communities, and special occupancy parks in all facets of daily operation and management. He also represents park owners and real estate developers seeking to convert the use of existing parks located throughout California, in connection with those clients’ redevelopment efforts, most often creating high-density residential and mixed-use products.

Jensen has more than 40 years of experience representing community owners and operators in all aspects of manufactured housing communities’ law. He has been deeply involved in the industry, including through many annual speaking engagements for the Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association (WMA), and service on various WMA committees.
The firm’s Manufactured Housing Communities attorneys advise clients on all legal issues that arise in this highly regulated industry, including general operational issues such as evictions, abandonments, drafting rental agreements and park rules, and giving advice on day-to-day operations, as well as navigating complex and varied local rent control rules and regulations. The team works closely with other departments in the firm to provide clients the full benefit of employment, business, real estate, and other legal advice.
