Job Opening: Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney (4-6 yrs)

Hopkins & Carley has a long standing reputation as one of the premier trust and estate litigation law firms and seeks to add a mid-level associate to a growing practice.  Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.  Trust & Estates Litigation experience is desirable, but not required, as training in the substantive area will be provided.  Trust and Estate litigation involves defending elders against financial abuse, suing trustees for breach of fiduciary duties, recovering real property, challenging trusts obtained illegally, defending trusts, and sometimes invalidating a marriage entered into for the purpose of taking an elder’s assets.  An interest in the area and strong litigation skills, including a desire to appear in court, are required.  Deposition and trial experience are also preferred, but not required.  Candidates must possess outstanding academic credentials, strong legal analysis and excellent writing skills.  Candidate must be a current member of the State Bar of California in good standing.  When we return to working in the office, this attorney can be situated in either our downtown San Jose or Redwood City offices.  Please send cover letter and resume to: AttorneyRecruiting@hopkinscarley.com.
