Hopkins & Carley Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment

logo.pngThis seal commemorates the Centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920 that granted women the Constitutional right to vote. The seal incorporates iconic elements of the suffragette uniform, a hat and a sash with the word “vote” on it, and colors of the movement (purple and gold and white). Framing the seal is the distinctive hendecagon and stars of the Susan B. Anthony coin.  The suffragette figure is turned, facing the future to meet the challenges to voting rights that are still to be addressed.  Drawn in a back profile outline, the indefinite figure includes all women in the multi-racial, multi-generational effort of the suffragette movement.
